September 6th race results
On Sept.6th.2002 EKC organized and hosted grandiose race show with DJ, discotheque and, certainly, races itself, which included a baby kart and location kart race, the 1st place prize for location kart race was 3000 EGP.
There were 3 competitors in a baby kart race: a winner of previous EKC races Adham, Mazen and EKC track beginner Ali. Struggle during the final race was really tense, all drivers showed very good results, but actually everyone expected Adham to win, but he crashed in the 1st lap and that changed the whole picture from the start. After the crash Adham was half-lap behind Ali, but he kept on struggling and overtook Ali once more and was about to reach Mazen, but time was up and Mazen came 1st, Adham 2nd, Ali 3rd.

Here are the baby kart Race results:

1st place: Mazen best laptime: 33.918 sec.
2nd place: Adham best laptime: 33.438 sec.
3rd place: Ali best laptime: 34.666 sec.

These Boys made a real beautiful Karting show and received prizes: 100 EGP for the 1st place, 50 EGP for 2nd and 25 EGP for 3rd. Congratulations to the winner!

Our track at Golden Beach resort was really crowded on that day by the ones who wished to participate in the location kart race or just to watch competitors, among whom were 7 drivers-beginners of our races, along with famous Autocross stars, such as Ayman Marzouk, Housam Ansary, Kamal Amir, Walid Amir, Shady Osama and Ismail.

All competitors were sorted on 4 groups. The race was preceded by 20 qualification heats (5 qualification heats within each group), each qualification heat lasted for 5 min. 5 competitors were qualified for the final Race. These were drivers who showed the best lap time in qualifications calculated as an arithmetical mean of 5 qualification heats.

The biggest surprise of our race was qualifying of a beginner Mahmoud El Orbani for the final. Besides, he showed the best average best-lap time leaving behind him the Autocross stars!!!
Definitely, we are witnesses of a new Karting racer star birth!

Qualifications took quite a long time and the final race started at about 3am, but audience was rewarded by a really exciting show, a real good karting. Everything happening in the track was translated on a big screen located beside the Blues Cafأ©, so everyone could enjoy the view in details. During next 15 minutes audience could watch a real competition between good drivers in the track. The greatest part of people sympathized with our new-born star Mahmoud El Orbani, who had been showing excellent time over the whole race and, by the way, he did the track record (!), but he didn?t reach the 4 leaders group because of insufficient race experience.

So, here are the Results of the Race:

1st place: Ayman Marzouk best lap time: 33.160 (You won the 2nd race in our track, Ayman! Congratulations!)
2nd place: Kamal Amir best lap time: 33.335
3rd place: Walid Amir best lap time: 33.966 (Congratulations brothers!)
4th place: Housam Ansary best lap time: 33.747
5th place: Mahmoud El Orbani best lap time: 32.869 (Well done, Mahmoud!)


Prizes for winners were provided by the race sponsors:

1st : a week trip to a Golden 5 Resort for 4 persons + 500 EGP;
2nd place: 500 EGP;
3rd place: 250 EGP;
4th place: a dinner for 2 persons at Hilton Borg El Arab Hotel;
5th place: a dinner for 2 persons at Hilton Borg El Arab Hotel.

October 25th race results
The 25th of October Race happened to be, probably, the most interesting among our Races.
It brought many surprises, fun, heat and Ultimate Rush.

First of all, 13 drivers applied for pre qualification for the Location Karts Race. Among them our famous Autocross stars: Housam Ansary, Haridy, Walid Amir, Kamal Amir, Ismail, Karim Reda, the General Manager of EKC Medhat Badawi, the star of the 6th of September Race ? Mahmoud El Orbani and 5 beginners of our races ? Mohamed, Ahmed, Edfawi, Saied and Marwan. Unfortunately, the winner of our last race, Ayman Marzouk didn?t participate in this race.

After pre qualification ?warming up? heat 8 qualified competitors were sorted on 2 groups and then series of 4 qualification heats for each group started.

1st group:
Housam Ansary
Haridy
Karim Reda
Mahmoud El Orbani

2nd group:
SATO (Ismail)
Walid Amir
Medhat Badawi
Kamal Amir

Unfortunately, Mahmoud El Orbani didn?t complete qualifications because of the problems with his ribs.
Each qualification heat lasted for 5 min. 7 drivers were qualified for the final Race.

Here is Starting Grid for the race with the average best lap time (arithmetical mean of 4 qualification heats) for each driver:

2. Haridy 33.562 sec.
3.Walid Amir 33.607 sec.
4. Kamal Amir 33.632
5. SATO (Ismail) 33.635 sec.
6. Medhat Badawi 33.649 sec.

As we can see Ansary started 1st, Haridy 2nd, Kamal 4th and Karim 7th.
But straight after the Start things have changed a lot! First of all, Race stopped once because of Haridy who was not willing to go on with a kart no.5, complaining it was ?very slowly? (translated from the driver?s language), so Medhat Badawi was so kind and exchanged karts with Haridy. That act produced a wave of protest among other drivers. After negotiations Haridy got a kart no.6 and Medhat Badawi started the Race with a ?very slowly? kart no.5.
On a 1st lap Haridy crashed with Walid and because of that delay became 5th, and Walid left the Race protesting on Haridy?s way of driving.
Haridy was really extremely active on that day; he started to bump everyone in the track until he came back to the 2nd position. Medhat Badawi left the Race.
And even though Haridy?s driving style was very aggressive but, thanks to him, audience really enjoyed the Race, he made competition breath taking! (Even though the anger of all drivers after the race was fair)

But the biggest surprise was a 1st position of Kamal who started 4th (Congratulations! You really deserved that victory!!!) And the 3rd position of Karim who started last!!!!!!!! (Well done!!!!!!)

So, results of the Race as follows:

2. Haridy best lap time: 33.226 sec.
3. Karim Reda best lap time: 34.220 sec.
4. SATO (Ismail) best lap time: 33.558 sec.
5. Housam Ansary best lap time: 33.960 sec.
